LED transparent mould
1. First of all, depending on the light source (high-power LED), different brands of high-power LEDs (such as CREE, lumileds, SSC, OSRAM, EVERLIGHT, EDSION, etc.), chip structure and packaging methods, light characteristics will be different, resulting in the same lens will be different when it comes to different specifications of brand LEDs. Therefore it requires targeted development (mainstream brand-oriented) to achieve actual need;
2.Design and optical simulation using optical design software (such as Code V, ZEMAX, TracePro, ASAP, LighTools, etc.) and mechanical modeling software (such as Pro/E, UG, SOLIDWORKS, etc.), continuously optimized to obtain the corresponding optical lens.
3.LED lens is a precision optical component itself, so its precision for mold is extremely high, especially processing precision of optical surface of lens is 0.1 μm. Generally, processing of such high-precision molds must have following equipment: ultra-precision processing machine (such as: PRECITECH NANOFORM 350), CNC integrated processing machine, precision grinding machine, precision milling machine, drilling machine, CNC precision spark machine, surface profiler, interferometer.
4.The most precise part of the mold lies in optical mold. First, special mold steel (such as: Swedish S136 mirror steel) must be heat treated to 55° to complete rough embryo. After the nickel plating on the rough embryo, surface machined by ultra-precision processing machine is used.
